A two-man broker franchise team is moving from the slopes to Southern California.

Paul Benson and Dougan Jones of Engel & Volkers’ Park City, Utah, office will be leading the firm’s Beverly Hills outpost at 340 N. Camden Drive.

The pair owns the Gestalt Group, which operates 18 offices under the Engel umbrella that are scattered around California, Nevada and Utah.

The two will lead an office of 40 in the Beverly Hills location, with Jones splitting his time between Park City and Los Angeles. They will be working alongside partners Raphael Barragan and Dennis Duban, who already have four offices in Los Angeles.

Together, Benson and Jones launched Gestalt’s first Park City shop in 2015. Its other offices in California are located in San Francisco, Sonoma County, Santa Barbara, and Newport Beach.

Jones is a license partner. Benson is also a license partner and CEO of Engel & Volkers USA Real Estate.

Some of Benson’s larger deals include the acquisition of 5,000 acres at the Canyons Ski Resort in Park City in 2011, and the marketing of a 1,400-acre project in the Bahamas.

German-based Engel & Volkers operates more than 700 residential brokerages and 85 commercial offices across 34 countries. In addition to its Beverly Hills office, the company also has separate locations in Santa Monica, Sherman Oaks and Mid-Wilshire.
