New details of a 20-story mixed-use project slated for Koreatown reveal a condo and hotel development with two floors of commercial space in a neighborhood that has seen a flood of recent residential complexes.
The project would include 122 condo units, a 192-key hotel and 15,200 square feet of commercial space. It would rise at 3800 W. 6th Street. The new information was provided Wednesday in a Department of City Planning environmental report first published in Urbanize.
The unnamed hotel would occupy the third through eighth floors and the condos would occupy the rest of the tower above that.
Investor Heesok Park acquired the property in April 2016, according to Real Capital Analytics. MVE+Partners is the architect. The plans are significantly different than the 16-story tower that was planned for the site a year ago.
The construction is the latest in a steady stream of new projects slated for Koreatown. Four significant developments were filed in the neighborhood so far this year, continuing the flow from last year.
