In the most unique of luxury listing, Evan Metropoulos has put his stripped penthouse atop the Sierra Tower in West Hollywood on the market for $58 million. Metropoulos, whose brother owns the iconic Playboy Mansion and father owns Hostess Brands, combined two units to create a 7,000-square-foot interior space surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows. The 32nd floor unit also comes with a 4,000-square-foot wraparound balcony. Along with the penthouse, the sale includes a guest suite on the sixth floor and six parking spaces.
Another heir, granddaughter of Canadian business mogul Samuel Bronfman, unloaded her palatial estate in Bel Air for a cool $85 million. Spanning 19,000 square feet, the home includes five bedrooms, a 6,600-square-foot guest house designed by revered architect Paul R. Williams, along with a theater, gym, spa and tennis court. Ellen Bronfman Hauptman and her husband, Andrew Hauptman, were the sellers. Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency was the broker.
David Sackler, whose family owns Purdue Pharma, dropped $22.5 million in cash for a Bel Air mansion. The 10,000-square-foot estate has a gym, swimming pool and tennis court. Sackler runs the investment firm for his family, which is worth an estimated $13 billion. The company produces OxyContin, a highly addictive opioid that has generated billions in revenue and has contributed to the opioid epidemic.
This one isn’t an heir. The former home of comedian Mike Myers, and youngest Jonas Brothers member Nick Jonas, was listed this week for $5.45 million. The 3,600-square-foot pad includes four bedrooms, a detached guest house, and infinity pool, the Los Angeles Times reported. The singer last sold the house in 2015 $3.4 million. Myers lived in the same house over a decade ago. Richard Klug of Sotheby’s International Realty holds the listing.
