Adam Levine drops $36M for Beverly Hills mansion

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine picked up a Tudor-style manse in Beverly Hills for $35.5 million.

The new pad is 12,000 square feet with seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a screening room, pool, and guest house, according to Architectural Digest. The previous owner, “Will and Grace” creator Max Mutchnik, remodeled the 1930s estate after buying it in 2008 for $23 million.

The home also has a tennis court with some serious sporting history. Tennis legend Pete Sampras owned the property during his reign at the top of the sport from the late 1980s through the 1990s. No word if Levine or his wife, supermodel Behati Prinsloo, are avid tennis players, but they welcomed their second child in February so maybe there’s a tennis prodigy (or two) is in the making.

Levine and Prinsloo listed two of their other properties in November. One was a 9,200-square-foot home in Bel Air they purchased a few months prior for $18 million. They ended up breaking even on the sale.

The other was a 7,100-square-foot single-story home in Beverly Crest, which Levine bought in 2012 for $4.83 million and first listed in 2016 for $17.5 million. The couple relisted for $15.9 million and the home is reportedly in escrow for that price. [Architectural Digest] — Dennis Lynch
