International law firm Seyfarth Shaw inked a deal to occupy 58,000 square feet at Figueroa at Wilshire, a Brookfield Properties-owned building in Downtown Los Angeles.
The firm is relocating to 601 S. Figueroa Street from the Bank of America Plaza, another Brookfield property in Downtown.
Melissa Copley, Josef Farrar and David Kluth of Newmark Knight Frank represented the law firm. Brookfield was represented in-house by John Barganski and James Malone, according to a Brookfield release.
Malone has since left the firm to join Colliers International, The Real Deal previously reported.
Brookfield recently announced plans to open a conference center and fitness facilities in the 53-story skyscraper. They will be operated by Convene, a meeting-space startup that is backed by Brookfield.
Elsewhere in Downtown, Brookfield has been actively leasing some of its other properties. The firm recently inked deals with two major anchor tenants, Bank of America and EY, at the Bank of America Plaza and EY Plaza, respectively.
Combined, Brookfield owns 8.6 million square feet of office space in the city.
