A media man appears to be getting into the real estate development game with plans for a mid-rise condominium building in Pasadena.
The Oak Knoll Condominiums project will see 71 units rise over what is now a parking lot at 747 E. Green Street, according to Urbanize. The property is owned by an LLC tied to Arthur Liu, the Chinese-American mogul behind the Asian-centric media company Multicultural Broadcasting.
The property is next to an existing building that houses Liu’s KAZN radio station.
The project is being designed by Pasadena-based Tyler Gonzalez Architects.
The condo will include one-, two- and three-bedroom units and a full floor penthouse. It will also feature 5,300 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and three levels of underground parking. Amenities include a dog run and multiple garden terraces.
Renderings show some Art Deco influences, which is in line with the architect’s vision of the building as a “dialogue between old and new,” according to Urbanize. [Urbanize] — Dennis Lynch
