The owner of a prominent skyscraper in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking a new restaurant tenant to occupy the penthouse floor, situated 1,000 feet up in the air.
The 8,000-square-foot wraparound space at the US Bank Tower, which formerly served as office space, has been vacant for some time. Perched on the 72nd floor, it’s also located directly above the building’s existing upscale restaurant, 71 Above.
Due to its prior role as office space, the room isn’t quite restaurant-ready. The next tenant would likely have to do considerable construction and fit-out, including setting up garbage disposals and proper ventilation, Eater reported.
Lee Shapiro and Justin Weiss of Kennedy Wilson have the listing.
OUE purchased the nearly 1.4 million-square-foot building in 2013 for $367.5 million, property records show.
The tower, located at 633 W. 5th Street, also has the Skyslide, a 45-foot long glass slide situated on the top floors of the building’s exterior. The addition was part of a larger $50 million renovation in the building, which was completed in 2016. [Eater] –– Natalie Hoberman
