Bui Simon, a former Miss Universe winner from Thailand, paid $33 million for the Pacific Palisades estate of the late television executive Michael King, who launched “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”

Simon, acting through an LLC, closed on the property at San Remo Drive on Thursday. She’s married to Herbert Simon, chairman of the massive REIT, Simon Property Group.

The $34 million home sale set a new record for the Palisades, according to the listing broker, Elisabeth Halsted of Berkshire Hathaway. It first hit the market two years ago, asking $42 million.

With 15,600 square feet of living space, the English manor-style mansion has seven bedrooms and 13 bathrooms. Amenities at the property include a home theater, yoga room and hand-carved marble and stone fireplaces.

Outside there is an infinity-edge hot tub, swimming pool with pool house and outdoor fireplace.

King purchased the property for $11 million in 2002, property records show. He demolished the existing house and then built a new one, which was completed in 2005.

Simon, the 1988 Miss Universe winner, is a former model who founded the Angels Wings Foundation, which provides education to poor Thai children.
