This week’s celeb real estate featured an equal dose of fabulous listings from the worlds of movies, music and television.
In Beverly Hills, the property where a legendary movie star once lived came on the market for $48 million. Jimmy Stewart lived in a Roxbury Drive mansion for almost 50 years. The original home was demolished after he died in 1997. Now, a 15,300-square-foot mansion built on the 1.3-acre lot has come up for sale. The estate has nine bedrooms, a swimming pool, guest house and home theatre. There’s also a 1,000-bottle wine cellar. Stewart was best known for starring in Alfred Hitchcock’s “Vertigo” and “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
Former agent-to-the-stars David O’Connor has also put his Westside home on the market. The former Creative Artists Agency managing partner recently moved to New York to pursue a short-lived stint as CEO of Madison Square Garden. He left behind a 6,500-square-foot home in Brentwood Park, now selling for $31.4 million. O’Connor and his wife, screenwriter Lona Williams, are also considering selling the undeveloped parcel next door separately for $12.7 million. The house, once used to host a fundraising event for Hillary Clinton, includes five bedrooms and four bathrooms.
Another property tied to billionaire Jerry Perenchio also hit the market this week for $21.5 million. Spanning 8,000 square feet, the home features four bedrooms and five bathrooms. There’s also a vineyard on the 1.3-acre property, found on Nimes Road in Bel Air. Perenchio, who died last May, was the former chairman and chief executive of Spanish broadcasting network Univision. He left behind a massive real estate portfolio when he died. Chartwell, the crown jewel of the portfolio, is currently listed at $350 million.
Award-winning producer Max Martin is looking to part ways with his home in the Trousdale Estates neighborhood. The Swedish songwriter is seeking $12 million for the Paul Williams-designed property, which spans 3,800 square feet. It includes four bedrooms and five bathrooms. The listing comes on the heels of Martin buying a much larger property in the Hollywood Hills, which was formerly owned by actress Drew Barrymore. A five-time Grammy winner, Martin has worked with many pop stars over the last two decades, including ‘NSync, Britney Spears, the Weeknd and Taylor Swift.
