This week in celeb real estate: American Idol creator lists in Bel Air, a Malibu ranch gets price chop… and more

It was almost as if an abundance of trick or treaters this Halloween had some celebrities running scared, as this week was dominated by new multi million-dollar listings in all pockets of Los Angeles.

The most expensive was a Bel Air estate owned by the creator of the hit television show “American Idol.” Simon Fuller is shopping the 8,000-square-foot home as a pocket listing, seeking $37.5 million. That’s more than 50 percent what the former Spice Girls manager paid for it. Fuller’s Bel Air manse was designed by Gordon Kaufmann and dates from the 1930s. It has seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms, as well as a swimming pool and a large lawn area.

In Malibu, the heiress of a cosmetics company chopped the price of a sprawling equestrian ranch. Kiehl’s heiress Jamie Morse Heidegger and Klaus Heidegger are asking $25 million for the 25-acre property, down from the $55 million they listed the spread for last summer. The couple was hoping to tack on another 11,000 square feet, but that fell through due to permitting issues. There is a four-bedroom main house,
three guest houses, along with stables and a lounge area for equestrians at the property. The Kiehls acquired the ranch for just $2.6 million in 2002.

Mark Damon, the award-winning film producer, also listed his abode this week for $10.9 million. Located in Beverly Hills, the 11,000-square-foot home has seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms, Mansion Global reported. The property, which sits on two acres, also includes a 50 foot-long swimming pool and sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. Damon and his wife Margaret acquired the home — their primary residence — in 1983.

Though not for sale, Detroit Pistons vice chairman Arn Tellem also put his home on the market for rent this week. Tellem is seeking $40,000 per month for the 9,000-square-foot home in the Pacific Palisades. The home includes six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, as well as an outdoor putting green, swimming pool and gym. The executive joined the Pistons after working as an agent for decades.
