This week in celeb real estate: Tinder co-founder eyes breakup with Montecito home, Beck’s former home lists for sale… and more

Aside from one $16 million sale in the South Bay, celebrities looked outside L.A. for their real estate fix this week. Two multi-million-dollar listings came up in Montecito, a celebrity enclave in Santa Barbara known to attract A-listers like Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah Winfrey.

In Montecito, Tinder co-founder Sean Rad is looking to part ways with a ranch home he picked up from Ellen DeGeneres last year. The scenic six-acre compound is on the market for $12.7 million, roughly $1 million more than what he paid for it. The main single-story home at Rad’s Rancho San Leandro home spans 6,700 square feet. There’s also a two-story guest house and equestrian facilities, including stalls and a riding arena. Rad left Tinder in 2017, and remains in a court battle with its parent company.

Jeff Bridges, also known as “The Dude,” is also aiming for a sale in Montecito. The actor put his 4-acre compound on the market for $8 million. It includes a 100-year-old Spanish Revival-style main house measuring 3,300 square feet, and there’s a guesthouse, pool, pool house, carriage house and horse facility on the property. Bridges and his wife, Susan Geston, paid $6.9 million for the estate in 2014, and later remodeling it.

In the South Bay, a trade between two executives took place. An entity tied to the COO of Skechers bought a five-bedroom home on Tennyson Place for $16 million. The sellers of the 7,300-square-foot property were Veyetamins founder Esmeralda and Ron Gallemore, records show. Situated on a 15,000-square-foot lot, the modern home features ocean views and an expansive outdoor deck. It has five bathrooms and six-and a half bathrooms, a swimming pool, media room and gym. The Gallemores, who built the home, paid $4.6 million for the land in 2012, records show.

A Hancock Park home once owned by Grammy-winning artist Beck hit the market this week for $8.4 million. The two-story home on South Arden Boulevard includes 6,600 square feet of space with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. There’s also a courtyard, pool and pool house. Beck purchased the home for $2.3 million in 2002 and sold it for $4.2 million in 2005. The current owners, John and Vickie Nellor, have added some interior renovations.
