Boxing legend “Sugar” Ray Leonard wants to part with a heavyweight home in Pacific Palisades.

The North Carolina-born fighter listed his 2-acre estate in the Westside neighborhood for $52 million, according to the Los Angeles Times. He purchased the property in 1993 for under $10 million, according to a Times article from that year.

Leonard and his wife Bernadette built a 16,700-square-foot, ivy-covered main home on the property. It has seven bedrooms, including a master site with a stone fireplace and a pair of balconies overlooking the property. There’s also a two-story guest house, swimming pool and tennis court on the property.
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Jade Mills has the property.

A member of the popular “Fabulous Four” boxers — the other three were Marvin Hagler, Thomas Hearns and Roberto Dura — Leonard won five world titles in various weight classes during his two-decade-long career, as well as an Olympic Gold Medal. He retired in 1997 and has since focused on charity work and motivational speaking.

Sugar’s property comes on the market following some big sales on the top end of the luxury market, which has otherwise been in a slump this year. The massive Spelling Manor property sold after three years on the market for a Los Angeles County record of $120 million in early July.
