Proptech stars and real estate titans converge at Future City 2022

Future City 2022

We’ve already given you a taste of some of the real estate titans and proptech stars you can encounter next month at Future City 2022 — The Real Deal’s exclusive three-day retreat in the Bahamas next month.

Now, let’s take a look at some of the companies that are paving the way for the industry’s data-driven future:

Royal Palm Companies

Daniel Kodsi’s prolific Florida-based development firm Royal Palm Companies is turning luxury into a lifestyle with mixed-use highrises that boast what its website calls “painstaking design.” Hotels and condos are the firm’s fortes, though its portfolio boasts over 15 million square feet of property across the board, from mixed-use to multifamily. There’s even more in the pipeline, but among its many current projects are the Legacy Hotel in Downtown Miami.

OKO Real Estate

Overseas development firm OKO Real Estate puts design first, and it shows. The Russian-based developer’s portfolio is a treasure trove of avant-garde masterpieces. One of those is CEO Vlad Doronin’s private residence, nestled in the trees of Barvikha, Russia. Doronin commissioned the late Zaha Hadid to design it, and it is the only private residential property designed and completed within her lifetime. With more than 75 million square feet and counting in OKO’s portfolio, including the Una condo tower in Miami and the Aman hotel and residences in New York, there’s no telling what architectural wonders it’ll unveil next.

Lisa Management, Inc.

Hands-on property management for all is the top priority for the minority-led Lisa Management. A portfolio of over 2,000 condo units and 100,000 square feet of retail space — much of which was developed throughout New York City by Hudson Companies — hasn’t prevented the firm from delivering both financial and technical management for each of its properties. The firm oversees an array of affordable and market-rate properties, primarily in Brooklyn and parts of Manhattan.

Atlantic Development Group

Of course, the residential market isn’t all master ensuites and marble countertops. Peter Fine’s New York-based Atlantic Development Group is focused on bringing affordable housing, as well as mixed-income and even senior housing. It is committed to developing not only quality buildings, but quality communities for all its tenants. As a vanguard of the affordable housing movement, it knows that the former begets the latter.
