J.Lo talks withLubov Azria and Ron Burkle to buy LA mansion

Jennifer Lopez has waded into a contract dispute over the sale of a 30,000-square-foot mansion in Holmby Hills, hoping to snag the historic estate for between $30 million and $39 million.

The A-list actress, in the middle of a breakup with husband Ben Affleck, is in negotiations to buy the disputed Azria Estate at 10250 West Sunset Boulevard, according to TMZ and the Robb Report.

But there’s a catch: billionaire investor Ron Burkle bought the 14-bedroom, 25-bathroom manse under the gavel of Concierge Auctions last spring for $30 million, then became embroiled in a contract dispute with seller Lubov Azria.

Lopez, who has recently toured the home, is trying to negotiate a purchase price with both Burkle and Lubov for between $30 million and $39 million, according to TMZ

Lubov Azria and the late Max Azria, founder of the apparel firm BCBG, bought the 60-room estate in 2005, then launched a multimillion-dollar renovation, listing it for as high as $88 million at one point.

The colonial-style home, designed by Paul Williams for radio star Charles Correll, was built in 1939 for $70,000.

It was then occupied by Oscar-winning writer, producer and novelist Sidney Sheldon, who added 10,000 square feet to the white two-story home at the end of a lengthy driveway on 2.8 acres off Sunset.

The mansion has all the trappings of pre-war elegance: a double-height entry foyer with a sweeping bridal staircase and a wall of French doors opening onto a terrace. A formal dining room is topped by a silver-leaf ceiling, in addition to a gold-domed library.

A master bedroom has a fireside sitting area, a balcony, showroom-style closet and a luxe bath.

There’s an office with skyline views, a 5,500-square-foot movie theater with its own concession stand, nine fireplaces, a game room with a wet bar, a wine cellar, a catering kitchen and staff quarters.

There’s also a pool house-turned-wellness center outfitted with a sauna, a steam shower and a massage area.

Outside, there’s an infinity-edge pool surrounded by an expansive lawn,a glass-walled tennis court with an elevated viewing box, a greenhouse for growing produce, a koi pond and an al fresco tea room. There’s also parking for up to 20 cars.

Lopez recently sold her Manhattan penthouse listed since 2017 for $23 million. She still owns a Hamptons estate she bought more than a decade ago for $10 million, according to Robb.

Affleck has a new Brentwood home he bought in July for $20.5 million, plus a riverfront country estate in Georgia that he bought in 2003. Lopez filed to divorce Affleck in August.
