Jamie Duran has found a new home at EQTY | Forbes Global Properties.
The executive has been tapped to expand the eXp Realty-backed firm’s international business as its director of global growth.
She brings a meaty resume to her role. Duran had a three-month stint at Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California, the brokerage started by Aaron Kirman, where she was hired to help launch several new Southern California offices. Previously, she served as president of Coldwell Banker Realty’s Southern California business, leading a roughly $500 million business with some 60 offices and nearly 5,000 agents.
Duran said in a statement on her new gig that she accepted the role amid “a major shift” and “new paradigm” for the market and industry.
Meanwhile, plenty of other movement has occurred among Southern California’s luxury residential ranks:
➤ Carolwood Estates’ The Advisory team made it official, with a formal announcement of its formation. The group’s combined experience equates to more than $1.5 billion in sales done throughout the Los Angeles and Santa Barbara markets.
The team was launched by Nick Segal, Carolwood’s co-founder and managing broker; Shaun Alan-Lee, who serves as The Advisory’s CEO; and Jane Dorian.
Carolwood Estates has offices in Beverly Hills and Montecito.
➤ Alan Long, co-founder and former principal of Dalton Brown & Long Realtors, brought his 11-agent team to Carolwood from Avenue 8.
The Beverly Hills-based group includes Bobby Boyd, Ben Russell, Michael Evans and Mitch Bassett.
Additionally, the team’s Katrina Bischoff and Doug George give Carolwood its first foray into the Palm Springs market.
Long’s team has combined career sales of more than $400 million. Avenue 8 closed its brokerage operations during the summer.
➤ Adara Salim has jumped to The Beverly Hills Estates from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties. The agent has closed more than $45 million in career sales, with a book of business heavy in the film industry.
➤ C3 Group LA has joined as affiliate agents in Coldwell Banker Realty’s Pasadena office. The team, led by former Capitol Records product manager Cari Field, has generated more than $800 million in sales since inception and is nearing $40 million so far this year.
Field and Coleen Novak, who managed artists such as Sarah McLachlan and Barenaked Ladies, originally met in the music industry before later starting the C3 team.
C3 also includes Sasha Darling, Jayna Finucane and Elysia Hangfu.
