James Malone, vice president of leasing at Brookfield Properties, is ditching the in-house lifestyle for Colliers International.
During his five-year stint at Brookfield, he represented the landlord in a 120,000-square-foot lease renewal with anchor tenant Ernst & Young at 725 S. Figueroa Street in Downtown Los Angeles. He’s also struck deals for Brookfield’s Cesar Pelli-designed 777 Tower at 777 S. Figueroa Street, Bank of America Plaza at 333 S. Hope Street and Wells Fargo Tower at 333 S. Grand Avenue.
Malone previously worked at JLL for a decade before joining Brookfield in 2013, according to his LinkedIn.
He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1992, after playing linebacker for the UCLA Bruins.
A representative from Brookfield confirmed the move. Neither Malone nor Colliers could be reached for comment.
