“Die Hard” and “Matrix” producer Joel Silver is selling his Malibu mansion for $40 million, the Los Angeles Times reported. Silver previously offered the home for $57.5 million in 2016. The house has five bedrooms and six bathrooms. It also has a pool, spa, tennis court, a detached guest house and 137 feet on Carbon Beach. Silver bought the house from producer Robert Chartoff more than a decade ago.
Activist and actress Rose McGowan sold her Hollywood Hills Home for $1.935 million to pay for her legal battle against Harvey Weinstein, Variety reported. McGowan claims the disgraced movie mogul raped her in 1997. The 2,927-square-foot home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The new owner is Israeli filmmaker Ariel Vromen. Vromen is the writer, director and producer of the 2012 film, “The Iceman.”
Supermodel and “America’s Got Talent” host Tyra Banks dropped $7 million on a 6,200-square-foot home in the Pacific Palisades, Realtor.com reported. Banks purchased the home through a trust attached to her mother. The 6,200-square-foot, 2014-built home has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a pool and a rooftop fire pit.
Lakers part-owner Jim Buss listed his Downtown L.A. penthouse for $6.75 million, $2 million less than when he put the home up for sale two years ago, the Times reported. The 4,300-square-foot unit at the Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. Live has three bedrooms, three full bathrooms and a half bath. Buss purchased the home in 2013 for $4.05 million. Douglas Elliman’s Josh and Matt Altman hold the listing.
