Another home belonging to the late Univision mogul Jerry Perenchio hits market

The Malibu home that had belonged to the late media mogul Jerry Perenchio is on the market, asking a smidge under $14 million, The Real Deal has learned. That’s a hefty sum, but substantially lower than the record-breaking $350 million estate his family listed in August, and the 70-acre land portfolio offered in November.

Located on Malibu Colony Road, the 3,700-square-foot property has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The 1928 two-story property also features an outdoor deck, wet bar and beachfront access.

A Perenchio family trust acquired the home in 1988 for $3 million, property records show.

Sandro Dazzan, now with the Agency, has the listing.

Perenchio, a billionaire who died in May, was the former chairman and chief executive of Spanish broadcasting network Univision. Throughout his career, he acquired real estate around Los Angeles, and even owned a local development company named Malibu Bay Co.

His other, much larger estate dubbed “Chartwell,” comprises more than 10 acres in Bel Air. At $350 million, it’s the most expensive residential listing currently offered in the country. Just a few months after breaking that record, his family also put a 70-acre portfolio of undeveloped Malibu land on the market. Although listed without a price, brokers have said it could fetch as much as $150 million.
