California Home Builders has proposed two new buildings in Warner Center — one of them a 24-story office tower — adding to the flurry of projects already in the pipeline for the Woodland Hills neighborhood.
The new project, which would rise at 21300 Califa Street, would include the 220,000-square-foot office tower, Curbed reported. The other construction will be a 206-unit residential building featuring a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom units, and live/work spaces.
Newman, Garrison + Partners is designing the project.
This isn’t the first construction the Canoga Park-based developer and the architecture firm are collaborating on. The two are also working on two complexes in the same neighborhood, dubbed “Q East” and “Q West.” Combined, that project will bring 600 apartments to Warner Center.
In November, California Home Builders filed plans to build its third mixed-use development at 6109 N. De Soto Avenue in Warner Center. The developer is hoping to gain approval for another 358 apartments spread across a seven-story building.
The recent push is part of a larger master plan, dubbed Warner Center 2035 Plan. City officials are hoping to transform the traditional business hub into an area more similar to Downtown, featuring multifamily residential developments, offices, retail options and restaurants.
