CBRE Global Investors, the real estate investment arm of commercial brokerage CBRE, is relocating to another Downtown Los Angeles office building, The Real Deal has learned. Sources familiar with the deal said the firm will occupy three of the top floors at 52-story Figueroa at Wilshire tower.
The investment firm will be relocating from the Paul Hastings Tower at City National Plaza, located at 515 S. Flower Street. It occupies roughly 40,000 square feet there, according to CoStar.
At the Figueroa at Wilshire, Brookfield Properties owns the 1 million-square-foot building, located at 601 S. Figueroa Street. The company recently announced plans to open a conference center and fitness facilities in the skyscraper, which will be operated by Convene, a meeting-space startup that is backed by Brookfield.
CBRE Global will be joining international law firm Seyfarth Shaw, which just recently inked a deal to lease 58,000 square feet at the skyscraper.
Neither CBRE Global nor Brookfield’s in-house leasing brokers responded to immediate requests for comment.
Elsewhere in Downtown, Brookfield has been actively leasing some of its other properties. The firm recently signed deals with two major anchor tenants, Bank of America and EY, at the Bank of America Plaza and EY Plaza, respectively.
Combined, Brookfield owns 8.6 million square feet of office space in the city.
