Satellite radio giant SiriusXM has signed a deal for its West Coast headquarters at 953 Sycamore, an under-construction CIM Group office building in the Hollywood Media District.
The company will be occupying 27,000 square feet at the new construction at 953 North Sycamore Avenue, the companies announced Monday. It will also take over a portion of an adjacent CIM building, found at 937 North Sycamore Avenue, for a live performance space and broadcast studio for multiple channels and shows.
New York-based SiriusXM, which is the world’s leading satellite radio company by revenue, is the first company to lease at the eight-story building. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Spanning roughly 67,000 square feet, the LOHA-designed property will feature retail space on the ground floor and three levels of office space, while the rest is dedicated to parking. The building, located on the corner of Sycamore Avenue and Romaine Street, is slated for completion this summer.
The radio company will be joining several other companies already settled in the area, including sound company Formosa Group, Luxembourg-based entertainment firm Docler Holdings, and most recently, a co-working firm named Serendipity Labs.
The property’s developer, CIM Group, is wrapping up construction on the Formosa West campus, located at the nearby historic Lot in Hollywood. Premium cable network Showtime recently leased 45,000 square feet at the campus, where it will join Oprah’s OWN network and Will Ferrell’s Funny or Die production company.
