Pop singer Taylor Swift plans to build a bigger fortress around her Beverly Hills home, hoping she never ever, ever, gets back together with the man who trespassed into the home in April.
The city of Beverly Hills recently granted the “Bad Blood” singer permission to build new walls, reaching 14 feet high, around her historic residence, TMZ reported.
This isn’t the first time the singer-songwriter singer will be building walls around the Beverly Hills manse. In late 2017, she put up walls reaching seven feet high to protect her from paparazzi and other unwanted intruders.
That wasn’t enough to keep her latest invader — an unnamed homeless man — from entering the private mansion earlier this year. He was ultimately charged with misdemeanor trespassing, and could face up to six months in county jail if convicted.
The new set of walls will tower behind the current walls, and are meant to “improve security and privacy on the subject property,” according to the building documents. There will also be landscaping comprised of box ivy and bushes to cover any gaping holes.
Swift purchased the two-acre property from the legendary film producer Samuel Goldwyn in 2015 for $25 million, property records show. It was designated a historical landmark in April, meaning she had to gain special approval from the city to be able to amend anything on the site. [TMZ] – Natalie Hoberman
