Developer Gala Asher’s latest spec home in Beverly Hills is hitting the market for $135 million.
The so-called “Wallingford Estate” includes 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, and includes a “guest penthouse” that’s more than twice the size of the average single-family home in the L.A. area, according to marketing materials.
The estate spans five acres in the Wallingford Estates gated community, sitting atop a promontory in the neighborhood near Benedict Canyon and Hutton drives.
The main house is around 31,000 square feet. There’s an additional 15,000 square feet spread across other structures, including a 5,000-square-foot guest house, two-bedroom guard house, sports facility, and caretaker house.
The sports facility includes a gym, boxing ring, and paddle tennis court. The zero edge pool is 155 feet long; marketing materials claim it is the “biggest all-side zero edge pool ever built in the Beverly Hills area.”
The estate was originally built in 2000, but partially demolished and expanded by Asher, a spec developer who is no stranger to nine-figure sales. Asher redeveloped a Bel Air spread in 2016 and listed it for $150 million, eventually selling it for $100 million to Detroit Pistons owner Tom Gores.
