Coupling a three-dimensional home tour with a real estate listing is hardly new, but it could become more commonplace now that Zillow is offering an app to make the imagery free of charge.
Seattle-based Zillow Group announced last week that it will enable the inclusion of 3D tours with all its listings, HousingWire reported. The announcement follows a successful test of the 3D-tour technology during a trial period. Zillow also introduced a new app that real estate agents and sellers can use to create 3D images and videos with an iPhone. The company estimates the process could take as little as 15 minutes.
Agents who participated in the trial said listings with 3D tours drew more prospective buyers than those without the technology, according to the report.
“We’re democratizing access to this technology and making it free for agents and sellers,” said Jeremy Wacksman, chief marketing officer of Zillow Group, to the outlet. [HousingWire] – Mike Seemuth
