Attention all Tom Petty fans. The home of the late rock star is listed for $5.5 million, just a smidge under its initial asking price of $5.8 million. The home on a cul-de-sac in the Thousand Oaks neighborhood has three bedrooms and three bathrooms within 5,300 square feet of space. Petty lived in the 1931-built home until his death in October at 66 of an drug accidental overdose. Lake and mountain views surround the property, reports the Los Angeles Times. Dana Sparks and Amy Alcini of Compass hold the listing.
A different recent celebrity death hovers over another new listing. Crystal Hefner, widow of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, is putting her pad up for sale for $7.2 million. Spanning just under 6,000 square feet, the Bird Streets residence has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows and a steam shower with not one, not two, but nine showerheads. An infinity pool and luxe home theater are also included onsite, Page Six reported. The house was a gift from Hef, who died in September, wanted to assure his third wife would have a roof over her head. Oh, and he also left her $5 million.
Funny woman Chelsea Handler is seeking $11.5 million for her Bel Air estate. That’s almost twice what she paid for it in 2010. The home boasts six bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms within 5,570 square feet, according to Variety. It also includes a gym, media room, sauna and outdoor pizza oven.
In more rock star news, the former home of Red Hot Chili Peppers’ frontman Anthony Kiedis has hit the market for $3.3 million. Showing off new interiors, the recently-renovated home has three bedrooms and four bathrooms. Amenities include a swimming pool, motorized walls of glass and freestanding tub. Kiedis owned the Sunset Strip home in the 1990s, the Los Angeles Times reported. Fans searching for some “Californication” can reach out to John Galich of Rodeo Realty for that one.
