Saudi Prince Turki bin Nasser is asking $40 million for a compound in Beverly Park, or a little over a million bucks per bathroom.

The five-acre spread spans two parcels in the gated Los Angeles neighborhood, complete with two mansions totaling 43,000 square feet. There are 22 bedrooms and 39 bathrooms between them, according to Variety.

Prince Turki’s compound is the largest of the four Beverly Park properties known to be owned by members of the Saudi royal family. Prince Turki’s compound has been in the royal family since the mid-1990s and the two homes there were built in 1995.

They are both built in the Mediterranean style. The main house spans 26,000 square feet and is a case study in opulence — the rooms are cavernous and marble and gold fixtures are ubiquitous. The master suite alone is 4,000 square feet.

The backyard has an infinity pool and a large patio space. The guest house is 14,000 square feet and is equally over-the-top inside. There is also a 3,000-square-foot staff building.

The 72-year-old Prince Turki built up a fortune over several decades, including through his involvement in U.K-Saudi arms deals throughout the 1980s and subsequent decades.

He was one of hundreds of Saudi royal family members and government officials arrested under the direction of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman in 2017 as part of a claimed crackdown on corruption.

He left detention in a Riyadh Ritz Carlton in early 2018 after declaring his “absolute loyalty and allegiance” to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Salman. [Variety] — Dennis Lynch
